3. Alkaff Bridge @ 1 Havelock Road
The Alkaff Bridge spans the Singapore River at Robertson Quay. The bridge was designed by Pacita Abad, a Filipino female artist. Abad and her team used 52 different vibrant colours and over 900 liters of paint to complete this striking work of art. Head over to the bridge to view Singapore from a different angle and snap pictures along your way!
4. Old Hill Street Police Station
In the past, it was nicknamed the ‘Police Skyscraper’ is a monument to the police force in Singapore. The building has a total of 927 windows, and they are painted in the colours of the rainbow. Nearby you have Clarke Quay that is full of energy and life. Hop on a bus to Hill Street early evening to take a picture or ten and head over to the bar for a chill out session!
5. Joo Chiat Shophouses at East Coast Road
Discover Peranakan culture as you stroll the shophouses at Joo Chiat. Here you can find quaint stores and eateries waiting for you to explore. The shophouses here have been well conserved since the early 1900s. Free up a day to admire the beauty that Katong has to offer.
