1. Ride something else other than the D (Water Sports Centre)


Kayaking in SG? Expensive or not? Don’t worry, there’s a special rate for locals! During non-peak hours, you can rent a Kayak/Canoe at $8 for two hours at student price, or you can rent the Pedal Boat for the same which will definitely leave you with sore butts. Do remember to bring extra clothes in case you fall into the water! Take note the last timing to rent the boats is 5:00pm for Kayak/Canoe and 6:00pm for Pedal Boats. Some boats require Kayak Certificates so if you have one, just ss and show it to the counter for validation!

From My Neighbour Totoro to Amélie, Funzing Singapore holds their pop-ups in various locations . If movies are too cliché for you, they host Quiz Nights and as well! I believe if you get over the “peeing in front of each other” stage, you can proceed to serenading out of tune to your partner. That’s how relationship works, right? If Zouk isn’t your thing, head down to Forest4 Darts Cafe and grab a drink or two! Every game cost $1, so with a budget of $10, you can play 10 games! Do note that you have to buy a drink to use the dart boards. They have this system where if you hit 400 points, you’ll get a free DARTSLIVE card! They do organise in-house competitions as well if you’re the competitive sort so check out their Facebook page for any events. For night owl couples, this place close at 2am on Saturdays, 1am on weekdays and 12am on Sundays so don’t worry about lacking places to chill!

5. Adventure IS OUT THERE!!! (Pulau Ubin)


Who says Pulau Ubin is boring? Be prepared to be jumpscare by monitor lizards, and if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of mummy wild boar with her baby. You can rent a decent bike from $6 onwards and explore the island. Trust me, it’s a rewarding ride, especially if you’re looking for a good workout. You can either stay over at the designated areas and set up a camp (Be sure to notify the local Popos) or you can ride the boat back and have a satisfying dinner to reward yourself for a calorie-burning day at Changi Village Hawker Centre.

7. For slooooow days (The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum of Singapore) 


Rejoice! The lease for Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum of Singapore is extended thanks to everyone who contributed to their GoGetFunding campaign. When Underwater World close down, I really regret not going to say bye to the stingrays for the last time. So don’t miss the chance again to meet the turtles! The entrance fee cost $5/person and if you want to feed the tortoise, it’s just a dollar for one portion.
