1. Bloom by MokMokSourceSource

When you enter the doors of Bloom by MokMok, you’ll feel as if you’ve walked into an inverted garden where flowers bloom from the ceilings instead of the ground. The soft pinkish glow from their neon sign contributes to the overall aesthetics of hanging flowers.

Their menu consists of brunch items, where popular desserts include their Soufflé Pancake and Egg Puffle! If you’re looking for mains, try their Grilled Chicken Burger and Australian Beef Tenderloin Rice Bowl. Make sure you pair your meal with their flower teas! You’ll leave with a full bloom in your heart (& your stomach)!

We’ll often associate coffee with work, sleepless nights and deadlines. Cast your worries away as you sip on your cup in a glass house and watch the sky blend in a mixture of blue and orange. With a name like Awesome Brew, you know they are dedicated to serve quality coffees.

Among their pasta range, their Aglio Olio caught my eye with their succulent slices of duck breast. For light brunch, you can go for either the Avocado on Toast or Eggs Benedict. Eating healthy? Try their colourful Smoothie Bowls topped with fruity bits and granola.

Their noodles are made from scratch and highly recommended to add to your soup!

Hakkas, you’ll definitely appreciate the 算盘子 (Abacus Seeds)! And no, for those who are going ‘huh? Abacus can eat one meh?’, no, the name derives from the shape which is moulded like the beads on the abacus, and from what my parents tell me, eating it will make me better at maths (it’s a lie!).
