Two Malaysian teenage boys were found dead inside a car on the side of the road with their engine still running in Kinabatangan, Sabah at around 11.46am on Wednesday (10/10/18).
The boys, Mohd Fitri Haimin and Mohd Helmi Muhammad, both 19 years of age, were both found lying down with their seats back in a white Perodua Myvi. Residents of Kampung Jaya Baru initially thought they were asleep but were shocked when they discovered that the boys were actually dead, reported Astro Awani.
According to Kinabatangan district police chief Supt A. Sahak Rahmat, upon the arrival of the police, the engine was found to still be running however, the two boys inside were not responding to knocks on the window. Rescuers from the Fire and Rescue Department had to force the car door open to get the boys out.
After the extraction, the boys were confirmed dead by a medical officer on site. No physical injuries were found on them.
Investigations into the case are ongoing and an autopsy has been scheduled for today. (11/10/18)
